Bilingual student Romario was handpicked from a beginners' class by Stanislavski Instructor Trisha Ray to audition for the lead role of David in her then casting film Orphan Train. Watching him work his scenes in class, Trisha felt he could be trusted to carry the role in Spanish, playing a Mexican orphan who stands up against the unjust Yatze (San Banarje). Out of several experienced actors who auditioned for the part, Romario, who had never acted before, was chosen to carry the film alongside a big star Mahie Gill and be part of location shoots that sprawled across Texas. While editing, the producers decided to make a series out of the film and the role of David was extended and Romario proved his dedication and commitment to the project by giving another good performance.
