Voice acting is an essential tool for both actors as well as non-actors who wish to hone their public speaking skills.
This class benefits actors who are pursuing a career in acting as well as voice-over works, commercial, broadcasting, radio and television media and definitely in film must know how to project and enunciate in order to get that part.
If you have a good voice that people want to listen to it will get you one step closer to getting that role. People don’t want to hear someone talk if their voice is too high, bad articulation, speaks too fast, speaks too slow or has a lisp. It is very important that you are training your voice just as much as you are training your acting chops.
This class also benefits non-actors who are trying to get rid of an accent or get a clear diction while talking. Voice acting classes are specifically structured to train you how to use your voice behind a microphone, which, in a sense, is like talking into someone's ear. If you want to excel at voice acting, take a number of V-O courses to learn proper technique in this medium, and acting classes to learn how to emote, develop character voices and be spontaneous in your acting.
Voice classes work with teleprompters, and focus on diction, breathing techniques, clear speech, projection, character's emotion, lipsync, accents etc.
